Camping at Nowhere

Many people at Nowhere join theme camps (or barrios) as it's a great way to pool resources to create an art project, a service, a party or simply a kitchen to feed yourselves.
Absolutely anyone can form or join a barrio, although each camp will have a limit to the number of people it is willing to support, and will set its own fees and what those fees will cover (your food, water etc).
Smaller barrios and those without noisy sound systems may want to camp near each other in an area called The Village. Larger barrios may want to be slightly further away and noisier party camps will be situated on one side of the site with their sound systems facing away from the rest of the site. To make sure your barrio is placed in the best spot for you, you need to register with the Barrio Co-ordinator at

Barrio crews are the only people other than Nowhere crew volunteers who are allowed onsite early. Barrios must register with the Barrio Co-ordinator to create an agreed list of early arrivals.
You can, of course, camp by yourself or with a group of friends, but remember you are responsible for all your food, water and shelter, and for completely removing all your rubbish and making sure you leave no trace.
