Leave no trace
‘Leave no trace’ means that when we leave Nowhere, it’s like we were never there
You need to take everything with you when you leave – that means cigarette butts, food scraps, tent pegs, empty cans – everything!
You should:
- do regular patrols for MOOP (matter out of place) – a cut-down water bottle makes a perfect bin to carry around with you
- weigh things down so they don’t blow away in the strong winds
- put a dropsheet down when cooking, sawing etc, so no MOOP hits the ground
- pick up MOOP when you see it, whether it’s yours or not – consider it your gift!

Some communal things still need a few extra hands to make sure we really leave no trace. If you can stick around for a day or two after the festival to help us clear up the site, email
