Hello, hello!

Many of you may have enjoyed the presence of BARRIO SSSH! at Nowhere last year. Our massage tables were very popular, as were our shamanic groups - and mud fight too!

As with all Nowhere barrios, we can only exist with your help. Last year we had a very small core team, which we are hoping to expand this year. For 2011 we want our healing and meditation haven to have even more shade (it was hot last year), better space for massages and be a place everyone can call home.

We’re looking for 30 people in total to join sssh! in 2011, with 6-8 people to help during set-up and take-down. Having built the barrio last year, I thoroughly recommend being part of the build and take down, especially if you want to learn new skills, test yourself and get to know your new desert friends even better.

We invite all skills to join us. Can you cook, give treatments or run groups? Do you want to help design and help build our new shade structure or manage the kitchen? Do you want to spend almost two weeks out in the Spanish desert creating something really special? Then get in touch.

Everyone works really hard to make this barrio happen and keep the fee as low as possible. Our fees for 2011 are:

85 euros: Feb 14th - 31st May.
95 euros: 1st June - 15th June.
105 euros: 16th June - 30th June.
115 euros: 1st July - 10th July (if space is available).

Kids (0 - 12): free.
Kids (12 - 18): 60 euros.

SSSH! JUNE FUNDRAISER, LONDON

For those of you who want a taste of sssh! before the fun starts out in the desert, this June we will have a WEEK-LONG FUNDRASIER running from MONDAY 6th - SUNDAY 12th JUNE.

During this week, you can receive any number of treatments at a friendly fundraiser rate to re-energise your soul ready for your big adventure in the desert.

THE MEDITATION AND HEALING BARRIO OF NOWHERE

What you get if you join us:

• You will join our family of 30 people. We accept people on a first come first served basis, so do get in touch.
• A great little kitchen. All your food and water provided for the entire event (5th - 10th July). We all take turns to cook, so feel free to suggest any recipes.
• We ask that everyone volunteer for two four hour slots to look after the barrio during the main event. It really isn't work, but is very necessary.
• You will also have access to our massage tables to give and receive treatments of your choice.
• Priority access to use our geodesic dome to run groups or workshops.
• Chance to relax in our shade/chill out space where you can escape the desert sun.
• Make new friends and lovers. It really does happen!
• A shower! Yes, we have our own.
• Use of our earth refrigeration system. So if you have any special foodstuff of your own you want to keep cool, we have a place for it.

In brief, your camp fee covers all your essentials for the event!

You will need to bring your own tent, sunscreen and any basic medical supplies you need - and all the fun stuff you can carry! You will also need to organise your own travel. Check out the Nowhere forum.

FROM JUNE 24TH THE FEE WILL BE 105 EUROS.

FROM 1ST JULY THE FEE WILL BE 115 EUROS (IF SPACE IS AVAILABLE).

All the build and take-down places have now been taken. You are welcome to arrive from 4th July.
