So, last minute again, I started two applications for this years art grants and discovered that the costs for both were WAY higher than I'd expected. There's no way I can afford to self fund or self build at this scale so I need to get some key crew in place before Nowhere 2012 in order to recce the site and discuss procedures for a project in 2013.

I need to speak to:

People with experience of design/building of SECURE structures of 10 metres in height or more.

People with experience of sequential lighting design.

People with a general knowledge of various fabrication techniques to discuss potential construction routes.

People with experience of fundraising in the region of 4000 euro.

It would be very useful if those interested are going to be at Nowhere this year.

Interested? Say so!

Have none of the above experience but am very much interested in creating massive pieces to bring to nowhere. I've had my own ideas but have NO idea how to make them a reality so being involved in another project first would be a GREAT opportunity.

Consider my hands, creativity and intellect as very much interested.

Yon, I'll need some help this year with a smaller, low grant, project. I'll teach you to solder, wire LEDs and melt things to make them look pretty. But I won't teach you tromboning.

Hi Thiry,
I'm not sure the project will be able to run as planned this year due to restrictions on site placements. I'll keep you posted as soon as I have a clearer idea of how things are. Thanks!

I am interested in getting involved in any art project that does happen. I am a painter but I'd love to get my hands dirty doing anything that is needed to create the project. I have experience producing a project for the Boom Festival.

Cheers,

Dave.
