Role to be filled
Gate, Greeters & Perimeter Metalead(s)
Year Round And On Site
PURPOSE/SUMMARY
GGP (Gate, Greeters and Perimeter) are the teams that help participants enter and exit Nowhere, welcome first timers to the event and keep us all safe! We are looking for a GGP MetaLead and Co-MetaLead to oversee the department, providing guidance and support to the three teams and ensuring successful delivery of their projects. The main responsibility will be to ensure their teams within the department are well staffed; including leads, co-leads and volunteers. You will work closely with City Planning and Malfare to ensure there are clear and manageable processes and procedures for entry and exit from Nowhere. You will also work with the Local Liaison team, facilitating emergency situations involving authorities or/and emergency services when needed.
Tasks and Time commitment
As this is a Year-round role the time commitment will vary depending on the needs of the event and your own responsibilities/availability. As with most things at Burns, it is what you make it! The MetaLeads are the link between GGP, NOrg and the other departments. You will need to be available once a month to be involved in the MetaLeads committee meetings, and have regular meetings with your team to give them any relevant updates or information.
