GREETERS LEAD & CO-LEAD

Welcome Nobodies home, spread cheer (and information) as people arrive.

Do you like welcoming people with open arms as they end their trip to Nowhere and start their journey into another world? Are you friendly, outgoing, and happy to spend a bit of time educating people about our principles and invite them to join our community? Are you someone that is new to Nowhere and wants to meet a lot of people in a few short days? If you said yes to any or all of the above questions then you should volunteer as a Greeter!

You are :
  • Able to commit to a year-round role
  • Interested in ensuring that all participants are welcomed to Nowhere
  • Able to disseminate important information in a fun and engaging manner
You will :
  • Oversee the participant welcoming process
  • Manage a team of volunteer greeters
  • Be the friendly face of Nowhere
  • Attend planning meetings/training sessions
  • maintain a presence on Norg’s internal communications tool
  • Create shift rota
Skills Required/Desired:
  • Personable and able to communicate a lot of information in a fun and engaging manner
  • Experience of inventory control and budget monitoring
  • Previous experience in a volunteer role at Nowhere or a similar event
  • (Desired) Proficiency in more than one language
  • (Desired) Previous experience in a Greeter role at Nowhere or a similar event
  • (Desired) Experience of managing a team of volunteers

  • Managing a team of volunteers
