We need help with...
Nowhere is organised entirely by volunteers. That means everything from building the Middle of Nowhere to designing the website to digging the toilets to organising ice deliveries is done by people just like you.
There are loads of volunteer shifts that need to be filled during the festival, from welcoming people as they arrive to helping in our information desk (NoInfo) to helping with our welfare/medical teams. We also have pre-event roles like helping with building or 'fluffing' (making sure everyone is well looked after with water, sunscreen etc) and post-event roles like making sure we leave no trace and everything gets packed safely away in storage. There are even year-round roles like helping with the website!
You can volunteer for a single shift (around six hours) or you can volunteer to take on a role, like some of the ones below...
If you'd like to volunteer before the festival, perhaps helping build or working in the kitchen, fill in our pre-event volunteers form and the Volunteers team will be in touch soon!
If you're keen to sign up for a volunteer shift during the festival, please email

URGENT!
Survival Guide Layout Typesetters/Artworkers
Spanish, French and Italian versions
The Survival Guide is the most important document we produce. We urgently need volunteers to work with the Survival Guide designer, Anne, to produce translated guides in Spanish, French and Italian using InDesign. Ideally you can speak both English and your chosen language/s, but if you only speak English and have experience working in multiple languages that’s good too!
The deadline is fast approaching so we need you to turn the work around quickly! The templates will be ready in mid-May and need to be done very quickly so we can send to print in late May.
You’ll be given an InDesign template by the Survival Guide team, as well as the translated Word file. You don’t have to do any translation yourself, but it obviously helps to understand what you are laying out!
